River you don't seem to understand the whole point of BSG... These humans are the last of the humans from the holocosts. There are no re-enforcements coming for these guys. It all about the emiotions their going through... Look at the ending... the way Starbuck was crying... for Apollo, Laura at the lost of Billy. These guys are on edge... now thats a story line...

No that isn't a story... that's drama
Anyhow, all I'm saying that the show was better in the beging of the season and these few eps are just killing time for the season climax, or that's what I think. Don't get me I still like BSG, it's just they had such a strong main plot and it hasn't moved at all in the last eps :|

one of the problems is if they move on with the main plot too much it will run out of steama dn idea's with which to keep it going. by adding in these 'drama' stand alone episodes it pads out the season, is annoying but is a necessity unforetunately

Yep. Those standalones aren't that bad, but since they were moving at a lightspeed with the big plot before now this is a let down

true.

one thing i do like, unlike normal sci fi shows where every season seems to take an entire year of the shows time line, with BSG it seems like there is only a few days between episodes, giving a realistic representation of what it would be like if true. for example, its only months since the initial attack, nto a couple of years as would be expected from a normal show timeline

just watched Sacrifice this morning, good episode i thought, think they are laying into Starbuck alot recently tho :|

Edit Button?
Season Two finale expanded to 90 minutes
WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 15, 2006

The second season finale of Battlestar Galactica will be the show's biggest episode yet, with The SCI FI Channel today announcing that it will air "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2" as a 90-minute special.

The episode will air Friday, March 10 from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time.

Beware of spoilers for the 2-part season finale below! Here's how the network describes the action:

"With the presidential campaigning in full swing, the election's outcome hinges upon a core debate -- whether or not to abandon the search for Earth when the Galactica crew discovers a habitable planet. When the election begins to swing in favor of Baltar (James Callis) -- a man whom Roslin is convinced is a Cylon collaborator -- the incumbent president must decide whether or not to take drastic measures for the greater good.

"Things become even further complicated when the Cylons, led by Caprica Six (Tricia Helfer) and Sharon (Grace Park), find the planet and offer humanity a stunning proposal of peace."

Stay tuned for GateWorld's "Lay Down Your Burdens" photo galleries in the days ahead! New episodes of Battlestar Galactica continue this Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on SCI FI.
2x17
BSG seems to have picked up the pace from where they left it. Quite a promotion hill for Adama jr.
Overall, a good ep with a hint of see thru.

Brilliant Episode with Martin Sheen in as the current Peg Commander Barry Trammel, Pity I was just starting to like him at the end. Mind you a raise from Captain to Commander for Young Lee Adama, Mind you... the way the Peg Commanders are getting killed off, I believe it was unwish for Lee to assume the command.

Brilliant episode, with the standard Cylon leads us into trap and We got to get ourselves out of it, With the Sub plot being involing Laura and the baby issues.

Who going to be Lee XO? I saw this guy who was in the background... one of those guys you see but never learn the name off.... damn it were have I seen him from....

overall quite a good episode, i do think the baltar storyline is getting abit daft now tho. good ethics debate with the abortion issue, lee being promoted very bad idea. he has been promoted from captain to major to commander all in the past small number of episodes (i dont know the number exactly), i think the writers are getting abit carried away. i also have a feelign he is goign to get knocked down hard very soon. and oh my fracking god, its a sci fi show, not a bloody daytime soap, all the useless romance rubbish  :sweating:
