Doctor Who Post ep Talk: 29-10 "Blink" *Spoilers*

Welcome to this week post episode talk of the show Doctor Who, please be aware that if you haven’t watched this episode yet, that the following post below may contain Major Plot Spoilers which might ruin it for you. Don’t say that we didn’t warn you…

anyway, this is the first doctor who story ever that I would consider scary, and I have seen a lot of them, not all but a lot. By scary I mean it made me jump once and has the element of rather than a big clumpy monster, this is one that can only hurt you from behind and when you don't look, unlike most thyat you can see all the time. It's the kind of thing that makes you keep chacking behind you because it is silent and you never see it coming.

I think it worked without the doctor, as the producers said, it isn't as scary if the doctor is there, and unlike "love and monsters" I think this one worked

I wanted to post about it while it was fresh in my mind so I did

edit: I do have to wonder why if the tardis is alive it wasn't transported, or is it the physical exterior isn't alive so it wasn't sent, only the living material would be sent if they got inside (and I suppose that is why they wanted to get inside) and being a time machine, them touching it and sending it back wouldn't make a lot of potential energy if it went staright back to 2007 would it?

so I've watched all four seasons of the new Doctor Who and the specials (not including the Children In Need specials) and have to say that Blink is well and truely head and shoulders above all the other episodes As has been said earlier it's probably the only real scary episode that they have done and it's imagative as well.
In fact I think it's one of the best science fiction episodes that I've seen.

As for No Doctor episodes, (or almost no doctor episodes) WHY?, I don't see the point in this, it's almost as rediculous of musical episodes, it is after all called Doctor Who, although perhaps the new series should be called The Rose Tyler Show as the real hero is the companion and all the companiions have been similar to Rose Tyler
