today I popped into town and got myself a non-blowback sig. It runs on CO2 cartridges and is pretty powerful, about 350fps I think. Only has a 15 round mag, but I'll be replacing the speedloaded I lost soon to make up for the low capacity. I'll try and get pics on soon

I found a convenient airsoft shop in Rochester, which is pretty close to me. We wandered in the other week to buy some DPM and discovered they sell all sorts of airsoft weapons for a low-ish price, they are also more than happy to hand out useful advise

I think I may have screwed up my AEG, I was cleaning the barrel when the rod cleaning head came off, I managed to find a website that explained how to take the gun apart to get at the barrel. I maged to get it out and put back to gether. but I don't know if the battery doesn't have a good charge or I screwed up somewhere with the internals.

I can't put the battery onto charge as the wires are bloody lose on the plug end of the wires, damn cheap chinese made charger

I think the more likely explanation is the battery is dead, and would suggest not taking it apart again until you can be sure, but if you did mess up the internals the best bet is probabaly to have another go at putting it back together.

I dont think you would have messed up the insides because the barrell should be separate from the gear box, and if there is no sound of the gear box working it is more likely a dead battery. (I recently helped a friend try to fix the internals of his gun and it turned out to be a dead battery and the charger was just knackered)



On a brighter note, I spent a good day airsofting today down at Amherst. Luckily they have upped the top fps to 350 from 328 +5% (which was 344) and now my AK doesnt have to have the hopup ajusted to make it within the limits, although in the past it was fairly annoying to not be allowed it non-ajusted because it was only 1 fps too hot and my new pistol is dead on 328 fps. Got to love CO2 power.


Oh, and as for future trips to amherst it will follow the same pattern of being at fort amherst once every 2 weeks, with the other weeks alternating between dover and MOD sites. Next weekend there is a 2 day game (including night games) down at Acrise which should be good

I'm looking at a new smart charger, but I don't want to be spending too much on it at the moment as I've already spent loads and I was only paid 5 days ago. might order durring the week. But I guess ordering my new airsoft uniform is out at the moment.

I think it the battery too as it doesn't seem to have the kick or otherwise the wire might be lose?
The charger I got with the kit is a write off the cover on the wires have come lose and touching each other... One hell of a short....

I got a cheap one off airsoftscotland. It was either £10 or £15, it does the trick although it takes a couple of hours to charge up a battery.
