Switching the forum to phpBB3

I don't know if it means anything to you Vern, but I just posted in the birthday thread and my post appeared 'above' the post I was replying to.

Sef I doubt that problem was anything to do with phpBB3... more likely a server hiccup, with the time being incorrect and your post goes in with an earlier time if for some reason the clock was set backwards. I think the server was down for a little while today so thats probably something to do with it.

Edit: Looks like the time has gone again for this post (the time is actually 1.27am on the 2nd). It's also left Nikin shown as still visiting as his last status update is "in the future".
Another Edit: Checked it out and they've got some stability issues with the server and are doing a bit of maintenance and tweaking. Before anyone tries changing your timezone wont work... all dates/times will be stored as timestamps and its all just adjusted to display it in the right timezone from there .

Hey, I like the new forum phpBB3, it's good, except it would be better if we could still view birthdays on profiles. And why don't we have a Naquadah count anymore? That was cool.

Okay I don't know why but for the past few days, all the threads I've read that had new posts are still flagged as unread even if I've read the,

I think that is because of the new posts appearing above old ones, so we don't see the newer ones at the bottom. I had the same problem

Why are we 12 hours behind? are we caught in a tempral time loop or something and not knowing it ?

You proberbly Verns got the wrong time zone set up on the forum since the switch over, he proberbly got it on an Austrilan time zone or something

The birthday and Naquadah were both mod's that had been made to the old phpBB2... so for the near future those are casualties of the move.

I did say . At least we've caught up now pretty much to when the time slipped.. so yeah its behind but at least posts will order correctly... and all we be normal apart from the time being wrong (until thats fixed).
