why do they decide to destroy the midway bridge, rather than just beam away the pegasus gate? Remember that Hatak shields are gouald made and Jumper ones are ancients and the dromes are ancient aswel so i must guess that ancient shielding would be capable of withstand drones (ancients tech aswell)!!
but the jumper shield is adapted from the cloak, not a real shield

Tho ancient tech anyway!! Cloak must be a powerful thing so the shielld would be a powerful thing aswell!!

if i remember rightly in the ep the shileds were only brushed by one drone, not direct contact it almost bounced of as it brushed past infact?

I would guess it was the one they stole!! But anyway we dont kno if they took the new passage or direct to earth!!
I guess the gate bridge is good for conserving energy, and if they lose atlantis again they can access it from another planet as long as they have the macro
will the gatebridge midway point have a space station, if it does they could always have an iris for emergencies, although you would have to activate it twice, once for the code, once for the ship, but tey do it for the SGC gate so it would work will there be a new episode showing next week? I think the shield thing was convenience that the writers didn't think about. But for us fans we can come up with some kind of good explanation right? I think the whole different tech thing works.
my assumption with the midway bridge is that it will be a space station, that way theres no need for a puddle jumper, you simply walk through get out at the Midway station and go through the next gate. Im assuming itll be maned by some team?

Just thought I's clear up the whole underwater drone thing.
The sensors were not functioning so the drones were only being guided by the nueral transmisions of the replicators watching. Once they went underwater they lost visual so they couldn't follow. When beckett did it later it was because the sensors were runnning again. [EDIT:] It just hit me....a new series based around the midway station! kinda a DS9 sort of thing. Waddya think?
