The ninth chevronModerators: Andron, ZipCrash, Omega, Vern, Hawkeye, River, seffy i stand by what i said. If your going to dial 9 chevrons, the gate your trying to open will also have to go to nine chevrons, so if ur still trying to get to one part of the planet to the other with a stargate, all you'll get is a busy signal.
Daniel:" C'mon, t..tell 'em how deep you are!"
Daniel: " You'll be lucky if you understand this." Teal'c: " My depth is immaterial to this conversation" Daniel: " Ohhhh!!! You see!?!?" Jack: " That's it, no more beer for you!"
I still think it dials a giant moving ship with the furlings on it

Not possible, if it went to a moving ship, the coordinates would keep changing, remeber in "Within the serpents grasp", the gate was on the ship, but they couldnt dial it home agian because the point of origin was invalid. Daniel:" C'mon, t..tell 'em how deep you are!"

But we don't know how a ninth chevron affects the gate system
![]() ![]() Not allowed to spell Colonel Tigh's name "T-G-H" and claim "the Cylons took the I," as it is cruel and not remotely funny As of 25-03-2008 20:22 only 215 posts behind Hawkeye's post count
So what your trying to say is that it acts sort of like a satillite? It keeps a stable wormhole open whil the it is moving? If thats what your saying, then i gotta say, nice theory.

But we know that works with Severn symbows, remember they moved a gate a few times. Even chucking one into a star, so said star would go supernova....

Maybe it is used in programing a gate to operate sort of a DOS command for the stargate?

Maybe it's how you get into the gate's bios when something goes screwy with it, hit the 9th chevron while it's booting up like you would delete on your pc.
Might be helpful if another virus infects the gate system again.
