The ninth chevron

Postby Hawkeye » Wed Mar 09, 2005 9:45 am

Okay people start putting on your thinking cap's because I got a tough one for you.

Okay most of you know that to get to a standard stargate you would use Several Chevron to dail the Address of the planet.
We also know that you can dail out of the Galaxy with and Eighth symbol used like and Area code on a telephone.

Now the question.

If you look closely at the actual gate, There are NINE Chevron locks two under the ramp. So what the Ninth one for? Does the gate have some other uses....

Maybe, I always wondered how they sent SG1 back at the end of the episode 1969 I always wondered if the SGC was deactivated or those covers where to stop SG1 from seeing all the new tech of the future.

In "1969" time travel has something to do with solar flares.

well if 7 is in one galaxy, and 8 is two any galaxy, than 9 would be to any Unerverse, but our science is still a long way off from proving it.

Indeed.

That would mean that 'gate builders' were/are known in every corner of universe :?

The ninth chevron probably designates the galaxy aswel, since theres 38 symbol things? so theres more than 38 galaxies in the universe.

I'll think I'll stick with Time Travel, Because at the end of 1969, they got thrown into the future, how did they get back from the era with a simple activation of the gate?

Maybe another solar flare was 'scheduled' in that moment, that's why old Cassandra told them to hurry up.
