What was so bad about SG ----------?

Anyway, I was thinking that the new SG series might take place on
an Ancient Satellite-like outpost - bigger than the one we saw
in "The Siege Part 1". It would have a beam cannon similar to
the one in the Siege for defense. The outpost should be big enough
for three Odyssey/Daedalus Class ships to dock with it.

that could work, but I think something like that could be too much like atlantis, maybe something to do with midway station, if they found a third network of stargates and linked it up to the midway station

The news about Michael Shanks involvment was just an unconfirmed rumour which now has been put to rest. There's a dementy on his official site, he has not yet been approached to play a part in the new spin-off.

while watching the quest, I thought that perhaps it would be in the ori galaxy, depending where we are at the end of the films, I know one should end the ori storyline, but it could also lead to discovering the address to the galaxy,
