Actually we already had a thread in the General Forum made my a users named RobNubis, I locked it for a number of reasons.

1. He created a thread in the General forum, which was clearly SG1 related

2. He clearly got the wrong facts... he stated it was MGM that cancelled the Game, when in fact it was Perception who dropped the game

3. He created an account on this forum for the sole purpose of advertising his petition. Which should have been posted in Advert Link thread [We really need to create an SG1 one ]

4. It was a copy and paste job, He couldn't be bothered to personalise it to this forum like adding something like this..... 'Fellow Astrogate users... Hear my Call to arms'. This bugs me the most, he just joined to get more people to sign his petition

I feel that we should create our own petition, rather then let some idolt like this guy ruin it. Have you actually read what he's said?

We, the Stargate Community, the people who allowed the Stargate Franchise to prosper are outraged. You have let us down completely and have showed your utter disregard for fans.

On the 20 January 2006, the Stargate Communtiy learned that MGM had let the PC, X-Box and PS2 Game "Stargate SG1 : The Alliance" die, by not granting license permission to its developer "Perception". The Game was near completion and had got several offers from publishers including "Namco". It had used the voices of SG1 actors who all supported the game.

However, MGM have crushed the fans dreams by not allowing the game a release.

We had seen trailers, gameplay demo's and a multitude of screenshots, and were truly excited about most of what we saw.

I was among the people at websites such as http://www.stargate-gaming.com, http://www.stargate-game.com and http://www.stargate-thealliance.com who were shocked that the game was scrapped.

The people at Perception have worked TOO hard for TOO long for us to let this game die. It is now up to us to get this game released.

Dear MGM, the fans have spoken. We want this game, we will buy this game...just let Perception release it.

Sorry if this is wrong or if I'm getting anyones hopes up, but on the sg1 site FAQ, they say that the Alliance will be released in Sept 2006 for PC. This probably isn't true but can someone please confirm that

It seems as thought they have released a lot of screen-shots and alike. Do you really think that they would cancel it this far into it.

My theory: they have run into some technical difficulties and instead of tirturing us and continuasley pushing back the release datye they are just saying it is cancelled until they are ready.
