Samantha Carter opened her eyes and awoke to a different
scenery than she had expected - hadn't she just been in her lab? Oh no, those
guys weren't back were they? When had she gone to sleep?
She moaned and Janet came over. "Sam! Thank god! How are
you feeling?" Asked Frasier.
"Why am I here?" Sam croaked.
"You gave us a scare. Daniel came in to drop some files
off in your lab and found you on the floor." The Doctor explained, writing
something down on a chart.
"Oh...Well I'll be fine..." Sam said, trying to sit
up. Janet stopped her.
"Ah! You're not going anywhere! You need rest. They gave
you some drugs that we're unsure about. We're trying to find out what they are.
We only noticed the odd traces just before Dan found you." Janet told her,
helping her lay back down. Sam was quickly half asleep again.
"Hey!" O'Neill said, once Frasier had walked off.
With his good arm he threw something at her, which landed on her head. She
opened her eyes again. "Oh good you're awake."
"Yeah...hi sir." She whispered.
"Was there something you wanted?" Carter asked,
"Can I go back to sleep then?" She asked.
"Carter?" O'Neill called.
"I'm sorry." He apologised, yawning.
"What for? You saved me from those men. They were about
to kill me when you came in." She recalled.
"Yeah, did I? I mean you're ill...and I sent you off on
your way in that building." He still felt bad about this. When they had
brought her in he had been really worried.
"You didn't have much choice." She defended him,
shooting him a smile.
"Yes but...well anyway, I'm sorry." O'Neill said
"Yeah. So, they wanted your brain huh? Why would they
want that?" He teased.
"Because they tried to find yours but couldn't,
sir." It was going to be a long stay...
"Ouch. You are getting good at this Sam!" Jack faked
a hurt look.
